Housing for a 6-Circuit, 2.54 mm Pitch Harness
The free-hanging (in-line) mount lets it terminate a cable assembly that mates with a board-mounted pin header of the same pitch and row count. The housing is molded from glass-filled PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), rated for continuous operation from -40°C to 100°C, which covers most equipment-inside-enclosure and under-hood passenger compartment environments. This is a housing-only part — contacts are not included. You order the 185311-1 shell and source the matching female crimp terminals separately, then insert them into the cavities. The dual-row arrangement gives you 6 circuits in a compact width that still allows individual wire routing and service access.
Mating and Termination
The receptacle housing has no integral locking latch. Retention relies on the terminal's own detent and the friction fit of the housing.
