USB-B Receptacle for USB 3.2 Gen 1 — 9 Contacts, Right-Angle, Board Lock
The TE Connectivity 1932259-1 is a USB-B (USB TYPE-B) receptacle with 9 contacts arranged for USB 3.2 Gen 1 (also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1 or Superspeed USB 3.0) signalling. It is a single-port, right-angle through-hole connector with gold-plated contacts and a board lock feature for mechanical retention during soldering and against cable insertion/withdrawal forces. The housing is blue, and the shell/shielding material is copper alloy. This connector is supplied in tray packaging.
The 9 solder tails are through-hole for mechanical strength.
USB 3.2 Gen 1 Signal Capability
Rated for USB 3.2 Gen 1, this connector supports SuperSpeed data transfer at 5 Gbps over the differential pairs on contacts 6 and 7 (SSTX) and 8 and 9 (SSRX), in addition to the standard USB 2.0 D+ and D- lines on contacts 2 and 3. The 9-contact layout is the standard USB 3.0 Type-B pinout. Gold contact finish supports the mating cycle life expected of a user-facing USB port.
