SMT termination with solder retention for automated lines
This header is a surface-mount device, so it flows through the same reflow oven as the rest of the board. The solder retention feature on the housing holds the component in position on the paste before reflow, preventing tombstoning or shift during the solder process. The brass contacts are solder-terminated at the board interface, with no additional through-hole reinforcement.
