Silver-Plated Contacts for High-Cycle Duty
The male pins are circular, made of copper alloy, and plated with 200.0µin (5.08µm) of silver on the mating surface. Silver also carries current with lower resistance than tin at elevated temperatures, making this header a good fit for power distribution within a panel or between boards.
The insulation height of 0.550" (13.97mm) gives clearance for mating connectors with wire seals or backshells.
It is orderable in bulk packaging.
Peer Comparison: 2-Position vs 3-Position
The 194009-1 offers a wider 6.35mm pitch and silver plating, which supports higher current per contact and better corrosion resistance in humid environments. For a 2-position power interconnect, the 194009-1 is the more robust choice; for a denser signal interconnect, the 1-2232960-3 fits a tighter board layout.
