12-Position Dual-Row Plug Housing for Wire-to-Board Harnesses
The TE Connectivity Grace Inertia GIC 1981972-1 is a 12-position, dual-row plug housing designed for free-hanging (in-line) wire-to-board applications. It mates with the corresponding Grace Inertia header (sold separately) to form a positive-locking connection in harness assemblies for appliances, industrial controls, and automotive interior systems. The housing is molded from glass-filled PBT in natural color, rated for an operating range of -30°C to 105°C.
2.50mm Pitch, Latch Lock, and Contacts-Not-Included
The latch lock on the plug provides audible positive retention, which matters in harnesses routed through a vehicle or machine where vibration can back out a friction-only connector. A critical procurement note: contacts are not included with this housing. You need to order the matching female crimp terminals separately — typically the TE 1981972-series socket contacts (e.g., 1-1981972-1 or similar) for the wire gauge your harness calls for.
