9-Position Plug with Push-In Termination
The 1986722-9 is a 9-position plug with female sockets from TE Connectivity's terminal block connector family. Termination is screwless via a leg-spring, push-in mechanism — strip the wire, push it in, and the spring clamps it. This saves assembly time compared to screw terminals and eliminates the risk of over-torque damage. The plug is free-hanging (in-line) with a 180° wire entry, making it a natural choice for cable-to-cable or cable-to-panel connections where a PCB mount isn't available. The side-stacking feature lets you gang multiple plugs side-by-side to increase circuit density without extra brackets.
Wire Range and Operating Envelope
Accepts wire from 30 AWG up to 14 AWG (0.05 mm² to 2 mm²), covering most signal and moderate-power wiring in industrial control panels.
