Connector Identity and Series Context
It uses a 0.400" (10.16mm) pitch — wide enough to handle the 30A per contact rating without thermal crowding on the PCB, and the dual-row layout with matching 0.400" row spacing keeps the footprint symmetrical for balanced current distribution across the four circuits.
Key Features and Deployment Context
The shrouded walls protect the tab contacts during mating and prevent accidental shorting. The tin-plated solder tails are standard for wave-solder compatibility.
30A per contact at 630V places this squarely in the power interconnect class — each circuit can carry bus-level current for a main DC rail or AC power feed. The 10.16mm pitch provides enough creepage distance for the 630V rating without requiring an oversized board footprint, but the wide spacing means the header occupies about 40mm of board edge for the 4 positions. The IP20 rating means the header is protected against fingers and solid objects larger than 12mm but not sealed against moisture — keep it inside a dry enclosure or pair it with a mating connector that adds environmental sealing.
It is RoHS compliant.
