Plug Housing for Harness Assembly
The TE Connectivity Dynamic D-2100 2-1318114-9 is a 20-position plug housing on a 2.50mm pitch, designed as the wire-side half of a wire-to-board or wire-to-wire interconnect in the Dynamic series. The dual-row layout with a polarizing key prevents mis-mating with the matching header.
Sizing the Housing to the Application
The 2.50mm pitch gives enough room between contacts for the 20 circuits in a dual-row layout without crowding the crimp barrel or wire bend radius.
Mating and Contact Selection
The polarizing key on the housing aligns with the corresponding slot on the header — a standard feature that prevents inserting the plug into a wrong-position header on the same panel. The snap-in panel mount holds the housing in place while the contacts are crimped to wires and inserted, and the secondary lock (if present on the contact) seats fully before the housing is mated.
