Press-fit or solder — termination choice matters
Press-fit is the play for a solderless backplane or power distribution board where reflow defects are unacceptable — the compliant pin cold-welds into the plated through-hole. Solder is the straightforward route for a standard wave-solder line.
The 3.00mm pitch here gives more room for heavier wire and higher voltage (250V vs 125VAC), while the CT part packs more positions into a shorter board edge. No direct drop-in — the pitch difference means a different PCB footprint.
