Right-angle SMT header for wire-to-board signal duty
The 2-1445057-8: This is an 8-position, single-row header in the Micro MATE-N-LOK series, designed to mate with a wire-to-board receptacle. The 3.00mm pitch is wide enough that the SMT solder joints are visually inspectable, and the right-angle orientation keeps the cable exit parallel to the PCB — useful when the board sits against an enclosure wall. The shrouded 4-wall housing protects the male pins from mechanical damage during handling and mis-mating, and the locking ramp on the top surface provides an audible click when the mating receptacle is fully seated — a vibration-resistant connection without needing screws.
Board-fit and termination details
Termination is SMT with a solder retention feature — the pins have a small barb that holds the part in place during reflow before the paste solidifies. The contact finish is 100.0µin tin on both the mating surface and the solder tail, which is standard for moderate-cycle applications (50-100 mates) at a lower cost than gold. Insulation height is 0.152" (3.85mm) above the board, which combined with the right-angle orientation gives a low profile for the mated connector pair. The housing is black polyamide (nylon) rated UL94 V-0, so it meets the flame-retardant requirement for equipment inside an enclosure.
