Three-Circuit Plug Housing for Wire-to-Wire Harnesses
The TE Connectivity 2-1565082-3 is a 3-position single-row plug housing from the Grace Inertia GIC series, designed for free-hanging wire-to-wire interconnects. The 3.50 mm pitch gives enough spacing for moderate-voltage wiring without crowding the crimp terminals. The housing is moulded in blue polyamide 6/6 (PA66) with an operating range of -30°C to 105°C, suiting it for automotive cabin, industrial cabinet, or appliance harnesses where the connector sees ambient heat but not direct engine-bay soak.
Crimp Termination and Contact Selection
The housing accepts female socket contacts that are crimped onto the wire and inserted into the cavity — the contacts are not included with this housing, so order the matching crimp terminals separately. The single-row layout keeps the assembly narrow, useful when routing a three-wire power or signal tap through a tight conduit or along a frame rail. The PA66 material provides the mechanical retention for the contact latch, and the free-hanging design means no panel cutout is needed.
