Termination and Mounting Options
The termination is listed as both press-fit and solder. The press-fit option allows solderless assembly into plated through-holes, which is preferred in high-reliability backplane or power distribution boards where rework is minimised. The solder option provides a conventional through-hole joint for standard wave-solder processes.
Mating and Contact Interface
For the GIC series, the contact system is designed to handle up to 9 A per circuit with appropriate wire, but always confirm with the specific terminal and wire gauge used.
The product is ROHS3 Compliant, and the housing material meets UL94 V-0 flammability rating. These compliance marks are required for equipment sold into European and North American markets.
