3-Position Plug Housing for 5.08 mm Pitch Power Interconnects
A polarizing key on the mating face prevents cross-mating with adjacent connectors in multi-position harness assemblies, a common failure point in field wiring.
For a 3-position plug, the total width across the housing is roughly 10.16 mm plus the wall thickness, which fits within a standard 0.5-inch board edge keep-out. The polarizing key is a mechanical boss on the housing that aligns with a corresponding slot on the receptacle; it prevents inserting the plug into a wrong-position header in a multi-connector panel, saving field rework time. Because contacts are not included, each BOM line for this housing must be paired with the correct male pin terminal from the Dynamic D-3200 crimp terminal family.
The crimp termination uses standard open-barrel terminals — the wire is stripped, inserted into the terminal barrel, and crimped with a hand tool or automatic press.
