Plug housing for the Grace Inertia GIC harness system
The TE Connectivity 2-1971905-4 is an 8-position, 2-row plug housing from the Grace Inertia GIC series. It uses a 3.30 mm pitch and a latch lock fastening system, designed for free-hanging (in-line) wire-to-wire or wire-to-board connections where a positive lock is needed to keep the pair mated under vibration.
Contacts are ordered separately
This housing ships empty — contacts are not included. You need to order the matching female socket crimp terminals separately. The crimp termination accepts the wire gauge range specified for the GIC terminal, and the secondary TPA (terminal position assurance) in the housing confirms each contact is fully seated before the connector is mated.
Mating half and keying
This plug mates with the corresponding Grace Inertia GIC receptacle header (same pitch, same row count). The latch lock on the plug engages the ramp on the header for an audible click that confirms full seating. The blue housing colour is a visual key during harness assembly — it distinguishes this 8-circuit, 2-row plug from other GIC housings on the same line.
