204-Position SODIMM for DDR3 Memory Modules
The 2-2013297-1: This is a 204-position SODIMM connector from TE Connectivity, designed specifically for DDR3 SDRAM memory modules. The 204-position count matches the standard DDR3 SODIMM interface, used in laptops, embedded systems, and compact industrial computers where a full-size DIMM won't fit. The connector mounts at a 25° angle to the PCB, which reduces the module insertion height compared to a vertical socket — useful in tight enclosures where the memory module must sit nearly parallel to the board. Contacts are gold flash over the base metal — flash gold provides adequate corrosion resistance for the mating cycles a memory module sees over its service life.
Available in Tape & Reel (TR) for automated assembly lines, and Cut Tape (CT) for prototype or low-volume hand assembly.
This is the board-side receptacle that accepts a standard DDR3 SODIMM memory module (204-pin edge card). The module slides in at the 25° angle and pivots down to latch — the latches on the connector body hold the module in place without additional hardware. Surface-mount termination with the 25° angle means the solder tails are on one side of the connector body. The board guide ensures the module edge aligns with the contacts before the latches engage — mis-insertion protection is built into the housing geometry.
