Tin is cost-effective for moderate mating-cycle applications — expect a few dozen cycles before wear becomes visible. The square male pins are copper alloy, rated at 250VAC. Current rating depends on the wire gauge used in the mating receptacle; the header itself is limited by the pin cross-section and the 105°C operating ceiling.
