40-position breakaway header on 0.100-inch pitch
The 0.100-inch (2.54mm) pitch and row spacing match the standard 0.100-inch grid, so it drops into a breadboard or a PCB laid out for that spacing. It's a breakaway style — the pins are not enclosed, which means the mating receptacle needs to provide the polarization and retention.
Pin length and board stack-up fit
Overall contact length is 0.500 inches (12.70mm). The mating pin length is 0.264 inches (6.70mm), and the solder tail is 0.126 inches (3.20mm). Because the header is unshrouded, the mated stack height depends entirely on the receptacle chosen. A standard AMPMODU receptacle with a 0.110-inch body height will give a total mated height around 0.374 inches (9.5mm) from board to top of receptacle.
