Board-to-wire header for 4.20mm pitch harnesses
The 2029056-4 is a 4-position, single-row header from the VAL-U-LOK series, designed for board-to-cable/wire applications. Its 4.20mm pitch and shrouded 4-wall design guide the mating connector into alignment, reducing the risk of bent pins during assembly. Each contact is rated 9A at 600VAC, with tin plating on both the mating and post surfaces at 80.0µin thickness. The board lock anchors the header through the reflow cycle and resists shear loads from the cable.
Mating and locking for industrial duty
The locking ramp fastening type provides an audible click when mated with the corresponding VAL-U-LOK receptacle housing, keeping the pair engaged under vibration typical in lighting and industrial enclosures. The operating temperature range of -40°C to 105°C covers most indoor and outdoor cabinet environments. The header accepts male pin contacts made of brass alloy, with square contact shape for reliable crimp termination.
