The TE VAL-U-LOK 2029111-3 is a 3-position plug housing from the VAL-U-LOK series, designed as a free-hanging, in-line wire-to-wire or wire-to-board interconnect. The 4.20mm pitch gives enough spacing for moderate current per circuit without forcing an oversized harness cross-section. The locking ramp fastening keeps the mated pair together under vibration — useful for automotive, appliance, and industrial control harnesses where a secondary latch isn't practical. Contacts are not included; the housing accepts male pin contacts that must be ordered separately and crimped onto the wire.
Mating Half and Terminal Compatibility
This plug housing mates with the matching VAL-U-LOK receptacle header (through-hole or vertical mount) at the same 4.20mm pitch. The locking ramp on the plug engages the ramp on the receptacle housing for a positive-lock fit. For the crimp terminals, the VAL-U-LOK series uses standard male pin contacts — typically the 1-794617-0 or similar 4.20mm-pitch pin terminal — that are crimped onto 18-22 AWG wire and inserted into the housing cavities. The housing is keyed to prevent mis-mating with other VAL-U-LOK configurations.
