USB-A Plug for USB 2.0, 4 Contacts, Gold Plating
The contacts are finished in gold, which provides corrosion resistance and maintains signal integrity over repeated mating cycles in field-service conditions.
Termination and Mounting — Solder, Free Hanging
Termination is solder, and the mounting style is free hanging (in-line). That means this plug is meant to be soldered directly to a cable or wire leads, then left as a loose connector at the end of a harness — not panel-mounted or PCB-soldered. On site, if the original plug on a USB 2.0 cable has failed, this crosses into the harness you've got: cut back the old connector, strip the wires, tin them, and solder to the four contacts inside the plug body. The copper shield gets soldered to the cable braid or drain wire to maintain the shield path. No crimp tool needed, just a soldering iron and a steady hand.
