Board edge, end launch — the PCB footprint is non-standard
This jack mounts board edge, end launch with a right-angle through-hole body. That means the connector body sits at the edge of the PCB and the signal pin enters the board perpendicular to the edge, not from the top. The end launch footprint is specific — the centre pin height above the board surface must match the trace stack-up to keep the impedance through the launch.
500 mating cycles — gold on beryllium copper
The threaded fastening (not a push-on or snap-on) means the coupling nut must be torqued properly each time; the 500-cycle rating assumes correct torque, not just hand-tight.
