Generation Y Plug Housing, 32 Circuits, Right-Angle Exit
The right-angle cable exit routes the wire bundle perpendicular to the mating axis, which saves space in tight enclosures or along panel edges where a straight pull would interfere with adjacent components.
What the Right-Angle Exit Means for Harness Routing
A right-angle cable exit changes the harness geometry compared to a straight-through plug. The wire bundle exits 90° from the connector mating face, which lets you run the cable along a panel or bulkhead instead of projecting outward. This matters in applications where clearance above the connector is limited — think engine control modules, HVAC blower motors, or junction boxes with a shallow lid. The latch holder keeps the plug locked to its mating header even when the cable is dressed at an angle and under tension.
Termination and Contact Compatibility
This housing accepts crimp male pin terminals. The contacts are ordered separately.
