The -40°C to 120°C operating range covers underhood engine compartments, industrial cabinet environments, and outdoor equipment where temperature cycling is a given.
What the Lever Lock Means for the Assembly
The lever-lock fastening type is the defining mechanical feature of this housing. Unlike a standard friction latch that can back off under sustained vibration, the lever lock provides a mechanical over-centre clamp that keeps the connector pair mated until deliberately released. For a 48-position 4-row connector carrying multiple power and signal circuits, that retention force matters — the lever distributes the extraction load evenly across the housing face rather than concentrating it on one latch point.
The housing ships empty. The crimp termination style accepts the wire gauge range specified for the Micro Quadlok terminal family; the terminal part number depends on wire size and plating preference (tin vs gold). Without those terminals, the housing is just a plastic shell with 48 empty cavities.
