Board-to-board signal routing with a 3-position receptacle
The 215297-3: The single-row layout keeps the PCB footprint narrow — useful for routing signals along a board edge or in a tight z-height budget where a full dual-row header would overhang the trace channel. The tin post wets reliably during wave or hand soldering.
Through-hole termination and board retention
Termination is through-hole with a kinked pin — the kink provides a press-fit retention force during soldering, holding the connector in place on the board before the solder joint solidifies. The post length is 0.122" (3.10mm), which suits standard 0.062" (1.6mm) PCBs with a through-hole solder fillet on the bottom side. Insulation height is 0.276" (7.00mm), giving clearance for the mating header's shroud or latch above the board surface.
Mating compatibility within the AMPMODU HV-100 series
The square pin shape of the mating header (common in AMPMODU) ensures four-point contact inside the socket.
