SMB Jack for 75 Ohm Signal Paths
The TE Connectivity 221014-1 is an SMB jack with a male pin centre contact, designed for 75 Ohm impedance systems. This puts it in the video, CATV, and baseband data signal path — not the 50 Ohm world of general-purpose RF. Rated to 4 GHz with 0.3 dB insertion loss, the signal pass-through is clean across the band.
Through-hole right-angle mounting with solder termination on both the centre pin and the shield. The polypropylene dielectric maintains the 75 Ohm characteristic through the launch — no air gap or loose tolerance that would shift the impedance at higher frequencies.
