What This Busbar Clip Is and Where It Goes
The TE Connectivity 2212011-1 is a pluggable busbar clip from the Series 125 family, designed to connect a busbar to a printed circuit board or wire assembly. The terminal type is a busbar clip — a formed metal spring that grips the busbar edge and provides a separable, solder-terminated interface. The solder termination means the clip is soldered directly to the board, giving a permanent mechanical and electrical connection on the PCB side while the busbar side remains pluggable for assembly or service. This is not a crimp or press-fit part; the board-mount side is soldered, and the busbar clips in.
Installation Note — Solder the Clip, Then Clip the Busbar
Installation is a two-step sequence: first, solder the clip to the PCB pads using the solder termination — standard wave or hand-solder process, no special tooling. Once the solder joint is solid, the busbar edge is pushed into the clip's spring arms until it seats. The clip holds the busbar with spring force; no secondary fastener is needed. The pluggable design means the busbar can be removed for board replacement or rework without desoldering.
