BNC jack, 50 Ohm, 4 GHz — what you're working with
The TE Connectivity 225396-1 is a BNC jack (female socket) with a bayonet lock, built for RG-58 class coax — RG-58, 58A, 58B, 58C. It's a 3-piece kit: the connector body, one crimp contact, and one ferrule. The impedance is 50 Ohms, the max frequency is 4 GHz, and the insertion loss is 0.2 dB. The center contact is gold-plated beryllium copper; the body is brass with nickel finish. The dielectric is PTFE.
Obsolete — plan your BOM accordingly
For existing BOM lines, the sourcing path is surplus or broker channel — we can source it to order against an RFQ, but availability is confirmed at quote time. If you're designing a new system, look for a current-production BNC jack with the same 50 Ohm impedance and RG-58 cable group compatibility.
This jack is designed for RG-58, 58A, 58B, and 58C cables. Both the contact and the shield are crimp-terminated — the kit includes the ferrule for the braid. Gold on the center contact handles repeated mating without fretting.
