It is a 50 Ohm RF interconnect designed for crimp termination to RG-174, RG-188A, and RG-316 coaxial cables. The centre contact is gold-plated beryllium copper, the body is stainless steel, and the dielectric is a fluoropolymer.
Kit contents and termination
This order code ships as a complete kit: one SMA connector body, one crimp contact, one ferrule, one panel gasket, one lockwasher, and one mounting nut. The shield termination is crimp; the centre contact is also crimp. No additional hardware is needed for a standard bulkhead install.
Cable compatibility and RF performance
The crimp termination is tooled for RG-174, RG-188A, and RG-316 cables — all 50 Ohm flexible coax types with similar dielectric diameters. The 0.3 dB insertion loss at the connector interface is typical for a quality SMA crimp jack at lower microwave frequencies. The 500-cycle mating life is adequate for field-serviceable connections where the connector is not routinely disconnected.
