What This BNC Jack Does in the Assembly
The 226990-6: The right-angle solder tail and bulkhead front-side nut mounting let you terminate a coaxial signal path at the enclosure wall while keeping the board edge close to the panel. Rated to 4 GHz, it covers the bulk of common RF bands: ISM, cellular, GPS, and most test-equipment signals up to the low microwave range.
Mounting and Termination — What Ships in the Box
The lockwasher and nut secure the jack to the panel from the front side — no separate hardware order needed.
The 4 GHz ceiling is the hard limit — above that the VSWR rises and the signal degrades. For a 50 Ohm system running signals below 4 GHz, this jack holds the line impedance. The 500-cycle rating on the gold-plated centre contact tells you the reconnect duty: it is built for test points, patch panels, and field-swappable cables, not a permanent solder joint.
