The 4 GHz upper frequency covers L-band through S-band and most of C-band; above that the BNC interface geometry starts to mode, so this connector is not the right choice for Ku-band or higher. For a test-bench application that sees daily connects, 500 cycles is a few years of service; for a fixed installation it is effectively a lifetime rating.
Mounting Hardware and Installation
This connector ships as three pieces: the connector body, a lockwasher, and a hex nut. The mounting feature is bulkhead — front side nut — meaning the connector body slides through the panel from the outside and the nut tightens from behind. The lockwasher sits between the nut and the panel to prevent the connector from rotating under cable strain. The isolated feature means the shell is not tied to the center conductor ground path — the shield termination is through the solder tails, not the panel.
