The 260-position count is the DDR4 standard; a DDR3 SODIMM uses 204 positions, so this part will not accept a DDR3 module. Mounting is surface mount at a 25° angle, with a normal standard top mount feature. The 25° angle sets the module insertion angle relative to the board — typical for space-constrained designs where the memory module sits nearly parallel to the mainboard.
