Gold on the contact interface keeps oxide films from forming during the wipe-in, so contact resistance stays below 20 mOhm over the first few hundred cycles. The tin post is the standard choice for wave or hand solder — it wets well with no-clean flux. The LCP housing holds its dimensional stability across that span — no creep in the socket beams at the high end.
UL94 V-0 rated housing — the material stops burning within 10 seconds of a flame source removal and does not drip flaming particles. Required for any equipment that goes inside an enclosure subject to UL 60950 or IEC 62368. ROHS3 compliant per the lifecycle record.
