AMPMODU 4-Position Receptacle Housing
It sits in the AMPMODU family as a free-hanging (in-line) female housing that accepts standard AMPMODU crimp terminals — the same contact system used across the series for signal-level circuits up to around 3 A per contact, depending on wire gauge and temperature.
Latch Lock and Housing Construction
The housing is moulded from Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP), a material that holds its dimensional stability through reflow soldering if the mating header is being wave-soldered on the other side of the board. Colour is black, which is the standard for the AMPMODU signal-level housings and helps with visual line identification on a harness board.
Crimp Termination and Field Assembly
Termination is crimp — no soldering iron needed. A proper crimp with the correct TE hand tool or automatic applicator gives a gas-tight connection that outlasts the wire insulation. For a field-service technician, that means you can replace a single contact without scrapping the whole harness — just depress the lance with a pick, slide the old terminal out, and crimp a new one in.
