5-Position Sealed Plug Housing at 2.50mm Pitch
The housing is moulded in natural polyamide (PA66) and carries both glow-wire compliance and a sealed construction, making it suitable for appliance, lighting, and industrial control applications that require a basic level of environmental protection. The 2.50mm pitch keeps the connector compact while still allowing adequate creepage for the typical low-voltage signal and power circuits this series handles.
The SDL 2.5 series uses a standard crimp contact that inserts into the housing and locks with the integrated latch holder. For a complete mated pair, you will also need the matching SDL 2.5 header or receptacle housing and the male pin contacts. The separate-contact approach lets you select the plating grade (tin vs. gold) and wire gauge that match your current and cycle-life requirements.
Sealed and Glow-Wire Compliant for Appliance Environments
The sealed construction keeps the contact interface protected from dust and splash, which is useful in kitchen appliances, HVAC units, and outdoor lighting where the connector may see condensation or washdown. The glow-wire compliance (tested to IEC 60335-1) means the PA66 housing resists ignition under fault conditions — a requirement for appliances sold into European and other markets that mandate glow-wire testing on live parts.
