48-Position Sealed Plug Housing for NTS Series
This is a sealed housing — the interface seal keeps moisture and contaminants out when mated with the corresponding NTS receptacle.
What Mates and What Goes In
This is a 6-row, 48-position layout, so confirm the receptacle half has the same row count and position count — the NTS series receptacles are keyed to prevent mismating.
Sealed and Vibration-Rated Construction
The 2366494-1 carries two features that separate it from a standard unsealed connector: the housing is sealed, and the TPA retainer is integrated into the plug body. Sealed means the mated pair keeps out splash, dust, and pressure-wash spray — not submersible, but rated for wet environments like engine bays, washdown stations, and outdoor equipment. The TPA is a secondary lock that slides over the terminal cavities after the contacts are inserted; if a terminal isn't fully seated the TPA won't close, which gives the harness builder a go/no-go check before the connector leaves the bench. The locking ramp fastening type is the primary latch — it snaps into the receptacle ramp and requires a tool or thumb press to release, so accidental disconnect from cable snag is unlikely.
