It terminates via surface mount, making it a direct-fit for automated pick-and-place assembly on boards that need a compact, keyed interconnect for signal-level circuits. The tin-plated solder tails (78.7 µinch) are compatible with standard reflow profiles.
Surface Mount Assembly and Board Fit
The header is surface-mount only — no through-hole option. The 0.145" mating pin length and 0.252" insulation height define the z-height budget when mated with a receptacle. The detent lock provides audible retention without requiring secondary hardware. Row spacing is also 2.00 mm, so the two rows share the same pitch as the columns — this keeps routing symmetrical on the board.
