The 280508-1: The 3-wall shrouding with a detent lock protects the mating pins and provides a positive retention latch — useful in equipment that sees occasional vibration or cable tug. The 0.496" (12.60mm) insulation height gives clearance for board-edge routing.
The square male pin (brass contact material) mates with standard AMPMODU Mod II receptacles and crimp sockets. The detent lock engages with the mating housing latch — confirm the mating half includes the corresponding lock feature.
