8-Position Dual-Row Plug Housing for Wire-to-Board Harnesses
This free-hanging (in-line) housing accepts crimp male pin contacts — the contacts are ordered separately. Typical use is as the wire-side connector half in board-to-wire harnesses where the header is soldered to the PCB and the housing is crimped onto discrete wires.
Sizing the Harness — Pitch, Positions, and Contact Selection
The dual-row layout (8 positions in 2 rows of 4) keeps the connector compact while maintaining the pin-out density. The free-hanging design means no board-mount hardware is needed on the wire side; the housing locks onto the header via the integral latch.
