5-Position Superseal Plug Housing, 6.00 mm Pitch
The TE Connectivity 282089-1 is a 5-position, single-row plug housing from the Superseal series. It is a free-hanging (in-line) connector designed for crimp termination — the contacts are ordered separately. The 6.00 mm pitch gives enough spacing for the rated voltage in wet or dusty environments, and the latch lock keeps the pair mated under vibration. The black glass-filled PA66 housing handles -40°C to 125°C, which covers engine compartments, industrial cabinets, and outdoor gear.
Housing Only — Contacts Ordered Separately
The 282089-1 ships as a bare housing. The female socket contacts are not included and must be ordered separately as crimp terminals. The housing accepts the standard Superseal crimp contacts — match the wire gauge to the terminal part number.
Sealed for Wet or Dusty Environments
The Superseal series is built for environments where water spray, dust, or condensation is present. When mated with the matching Superseal header and fitted with the correct wire seals (part of the terminal assembly), the connector meets IP67 — though the housing itself does not carry a standalone IP rating.
