The TE Connectivity 2822365-2 is a 2-position plug housing from the EconoSeal J Mark II series, built for sealed, vibration-resistant wire-to-wire or wire-to-device interconnects. The gray PBT housing carries the Double Lock Plate and Sealed features — the lock plate prevents terminal back-out under cable strain, and the seal keeps moisture and debris out of the cavity in underhood or outdoor environments. This is a free-hanging (in-line) plug; it mates with the corresponding EconoSeal J Mark II receptacle housing of the same position count.
Contacts Not Included — Order Separately
The 2822365-2 ships as an empty housing. The female socket contacts must be ordered separately and crimped onto the wire before insertion. The contact termination is crimp, so the harness build needs the correct applicator and the terminal part number for the wire gauge range. The Double Lock Plate engages after the contacts are seated to confirm full insertion and lock them in place — skip that step and the terminal can push back during mating.
