2-Position Splash-Proof Receptacle Housing
The TE Connectivity 282680-1 is a 2-position receptacle housing from the Junior Power Timer series, designed for sealed inline harness connections where moisture resistance is required. The 5.00 mm pitch keeps the contact spacing wide enough for the splash-proof seal while allowing a compact two-circuit footprint. Contacts are not included — the female socket crimp terminals must be ordered separately.
Mating and Contact Selection
This receptacle mates with the matching Junior Power Timer plug header (same series, same 5.00 mm pitch). The free-hanging (in-line) mounting suits harness-to-harness or harness-to-device connections where a panel cutout is not available. The female socket contacts are crimp-terminated — the housing accepts the standard Junior Power Timer crimp terminals for 2-position applications. The splash-proof feature relies on an integral seal between the mated halves, so the mating plug must also carry the splash-proof rating to maintain the seal.
