The 282830-8 is the 8-circuit member of TE's Buchanan plug series, a free-hanging plug for unshrouded headers with a 5.00 mm pitch and single-level layout. Rated 12 A at 300 V with tin-plated phosphor bronze contacts, the plug accepts 12-30 AWG (0.05-2 mm²) wire via a screw rising cage clamp.
Side stacking allows ganging multiple plugs on adjacent header positions without increasing the wiring footprint.
The screw rising cage clamp accepts 12-30 AWG (0.05-2 mm²) solid or stranded wire with a 6-7.5 mm strip length.
