3-Position Receptacle Housing for Wire-to-Wire Harnesses
Pitch and Position Count — What Fits the Harness
The 0.362" (9.20mm) pitch is unusually wide for a 3-position housing — it gives generous spacing between circuits, which allows for larger-gauge wire and higher voltage creepage without forcing an oversized connector footprint. The single-row, 3-position layout matches a 3-circuit BOM line; there is no 2- or 4-position sibling in this exact series to cross-shop, so the position count is a fixed fit. If the harness calls for more circuits, the 284098 series offers other position counts at the same 9.20mm pitch.
Contacts Are Ordered Separately — Plan the BOM
The housing accepts crimp-terminated contacts that are inserted from the rear and retained by the latch lock once mated. Without the correct terminal part number on the BOM, the housing is an empty shell that cannot carry current.
Latch Lock and Free-Hanging Mount
This is typical for pass-through harness sections where the connector pair breaks a cable run for service access.
