Pitch and footprint — 2.00 mm single-row layout
The 292133-3: All three positions are loaded, so the footprint is a straight line of three through-hole solder tails with 0.126" (3.20mm) post length — enough for standard 1.6 mm PCBs without excessive protrusion.
Shrouding and locking — protection against bent pins and vibration
The header is fully shrouded with four walls, which guards the male pins during handling and guides the mating receptacle into alignment — critical when the connector is not visible during assembly. A detent lock on the shroud provides positive retention once mated, reducing the risk of disconnection under moderate vibration or cable tug.
Mating half — what it connects to
This header is designed for board-to-cable/wire applications and mates with TE CT series crimp-style receptacle housings that accept the matching female terminals. The tin-plated mating surface (contact finish) is suited for moderate mating cycle counts — typically a few dozen cycles — and is cost-effective for high-volume consumer or industrial gear.
