The shrouded 3-wall design guides the mating plug and protects the pins during handling; the detent lock gives a positive tactile confirmation when fully mated.
SMD termination and mounting
Surface-mount solder tails keep the assembly on one side of the board — useful when the opposite side needs clearance for other components or a ground plane. Insulation is glass-filled PA6T rated UL94 V-0, and the housing is black for visual polarity reference.
