Shrouded housing and detent lock — vibration-proof mate
The 3-wall shroud surrounds the male pins, protecting them from bent contacts during handling and guiding the mating receptacle into alignment. The detent lock snaps into the matching housing — once mated, the pair resists vibration and accidental pull-off better than a friction-only fit. Insulation height is 0.307" (7.80 mm) — enough stand-off to clear components on the board under the header body. The glass-filled PA6T housing carries UL94 V-0 flame rating, so it's acceptable inside equipment enclosures that require flammability certification.
For typical signal-level loads (0.5–1 A per contact), the tin-plated contacts are adequate. Voltage rating is 125 VAC — this is a signal-level header, not for mains power.
