2.00mm pitch right-angle SMD header for wire-to-board
The 292173-8 is an 8-position, single-row header from TE's CT series, pitched at 2.00mm for wire-to-board applications. It terminates via surface-mount right-angle solder tails, which keeps the mated wire assembly parallel to the PCB — useful in tight enclosures where vertical clearance is limited.
Shrouded housing with detent lock
The header is fully shrouded on all four sides, protecting the male pins during handling and mating. A detent lock on the housing provides positive retention with the matching CT receptacle — no separate locking clip needed, which saves assembly time and reduces part count. The black PA6T/glass-filled housing carries a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, meeting the flame requirement for equipment inside an enclosure.
Mating and termination check
Mates with CT series crimp-socket receptacles (e.g., housings 1-292173-x series). The square tin-plated male pins accept the receptacle's female contacts. The board guide and solder retention features aid alignment and hold the header during reflow.
