Its 0.079" (2.00mm) pitch keeps the footprint compact while allowing enough room for routing traces between pads on a standard PCB. The shrouded 4-wall design protects the male pins from bending during mating and prevents mis-mating with non-keyed connectors — a practical feature for field-service or harness assembly where the connector is mated blind. The detent lock provides a positive retention force that resists vibration-induced disconnection without needing a separate locking clip or screw.
SMT Termination and Board Retention
