Solder retention for SMT reliability
This header includes solder retention features — small projections on the housing that increase the solder joint's mechanical strength after reflow. For a board-to-wire connector that sees cable strain, that retention matters more than the contact's own current rating. The housing is glass-filled PA6T (UL94 V-0), which handles reflow temperatures without warping. The natural colour lets you visually confirm full solder wetting on the tails.
