What this 3-position 1.5mm header is for
Right-angle SMT termination keeps the connector low to the board, useful for edge-mating where z-height is tight.
Pitch and footprint — the board layout constraint
At 1.50 mm pitch, this header packs three contacts into a narrow footprint — about 4.5 mm across the row. That's tighter than the 2.00 mm pitch on the CT series peer 1-292164-1, which carries 11 positions in a through-hole right-angle package. The finer pitch here saves board real estate but demands more precise routing between pads. The 0.094-inch (2.40 mm) mating pin length is short — the mating receptacle needs to align closely; there's no extra pin length for misalignment tolerance.
Mating half and assembly fit
This header mates with Mini CT crimp-socket receptacles (e.g., TE 292207 series). For harness builders: the matching crimp terminals use standard Mini CT applicators — if you already run Mini CT tooling, this header shares the same terminal family.
